Project AH

One of my favorite computers of all time is Amiga 500. I never owned one, since I was a C64 -guy at that point, but when visiting a friend who had one, I was always impressed by it's audiovisual quality. Ultimas, Pinball Dreams/Fantasies, Alien Breed, Lotus 2, Shadow of the Beast... So many quality games.

One of the main selling points of Amiga were it's graphics, which were instantly recognizable. The limited (But still huge!) pallette gave the games of the era a certain... Something, that I feel is missing from todays games.

This is where Project AH comes in.

Project AH is a game for iPhone that I'm currently working on. What I'm trying to do here, is bring back that certain Amiga flavor, for iOs. Granted, it won't be 100% Amigazed (Is that a word?), but I'm really planning to bring that retro-coolness back. Time will tell, whether I succeed in this project.

I have attached the first picture from the game in this post. This will be the main character of the game.

I'll continue updating this blog as the project evolves.

In the next posts, I will talk about the game mechanics and the genre of the game I'll be developing. I will have something new to show by then.

The start of something new...

Hello, and welcome to my blog. How sad way to start a new blog is this?

I make games. Well, I'm trying to. As a lonely entrepreneur, getting things done is sometimes suprisingly difficult. And for this reason I'm starting this blog. It will work as a way to help me manage through my design process. I just hope blogging won't be taking too much time away from my work!

A little about me:

As I said before, I'm an entrepreneur, in my thirties, and interested in making games. I have been an entrepreneur for a couple of years now. I have also managed to get a few games out. Some free, some not. My gaming career started when I was just a little boy, and my parents bought me my first computer, the Commodore 64. And I loved that machine. I still have great memories about throwing my joystick to the floor when falling to my death in Giana Sisters. Or losing another joystick in a match of Track & Field.

As a gamer, I like all sorts of games. RPGs are probably the type of games I enjoy the most. I like the feeling of achievement you get when you level up, and the gripping feeling of trying on a new armor. Also, I like collecting mushrooms and berries. I guess I'm a bit of a collector.

Right now I do games for mobile phones and tablets, mainly iPhones and iPads.

Well, that's that for now. I hope you enjoy reading my blog!

Ps. Since I'm not a native english speaker, I hope you'll manage to suffer through my bad grammar.
